The Mavericks raced out to a 35-16 lead after one quarter and then cruised home to victory. The Mavs only shot 38.8% from the floor, but they played great defense holding the Hornets to 35.6% shooting.

Dirk Nowitzki had a great game with 28 points and 9 rebounds. Josh Howard returned to the starting lineup and added 15 points and 7 rebounds. Erick Dampier was decent with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Devin Harris directed the attack well with 10 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 steals. Jason Terry scored 7 points, grabbed 5 rebounds and dished out 6 assists.

The Mavericks improved to 9-4 on the season after this win on Saturday Night.
