I know that this is nitpicking because of the Mavericks record, but they need more offense from Devin Harris. In his last 6 games he has disappeared from the offense. In those 6 games he’s only averaging 7.7 points, 1.7 rebounds, 3.2 assists and 1.2 steals per game and that is simply not enough despite his good defense.

Jason Terry has played pretty well lately for the Mavericks. He’s been shooting great from 3-point range as he’s hit 16 of his last 34 shots beyond the arc in his last 7 games. He’s also averaged 16.4 points, 2.6 rebounds and 7.1 assists per game in his last 7 games. If he keeps that up the Mavericks are going to keep thumping teams because Terry is a legit threat out of the backcourt and the #3 option in the offense behind Dirk Nowitzki and Josh Howard.

The Mavericks hit the boards today as they outrebounded the Heat 48-35 and that paid off big time in their win. Josh Howard had a good game with 25 points, 9 rebounds and 3 assists. Jerry Stackhouse had a good game off the bench with 23 points. Dirk Nowitzki had a solid game with 22 points and 11 rebounds.

The Mavericks were on fire last night. They outrebounded the Lakers 53-28 and shot 54.5% from the floor to dominate this basketball game. Josh Howard was unstoppable as he wound up with 29 points and 5 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki also had a great game with 27 points and 10 rebounds.
